Download Videos via Mi Browser auf Xiaomi
Downloading videos from social platforms like Facebook, YouTube or Vimeo usually requires a separate app or a third-party downloader tool on Android. Mi Browser on Xiaomi phones includes a built-in download option that skips this extra step and saves video files straight to your device storage.
The feature works because Mi Browser can read the link you paste, detect the video source behind it, and queue the file for offline download instead of just opening it for streaming.
To use it, open Mi Browser and tap on Profile. From there tap Download videos, paste the video link into the field and tap Download. The video saves locally and appears in your downloads list once the transfer finishes.
This only works with links that Mi Browser can recognize as direct video sources. Private or age-restricted content, DRM-protected streams, and some platform-specific short-form videos often will not download this way because the platform blocks direct extraction.
If a link fails to download, check whether the video is public and whether the URL points directly to the video page rather than a shortened or redirected link. For content that Mi Browser cannot fetch, a dedicated app from the respective platform is the more reliable option.
