Set Autoclick Dwell Timing for a Mouse auf Xiaomi
Autoclick, also called dwell timing, replaces the physical click of a connected mouse or trackpad on a Xiaomi phone.
The pointer only has to stop moving for a defined amount of time, then the phone fires the click automatically. This matters mainly for users with limited hand mobility or anyone relying on a mouse for daily navigation, since the tiny on-screen click button becomes unnecessary.
The setting sits inside Accessibility, in the Physical section that groups pointer-related options for external input devices.
To open it: Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Additional settings ➔ Tap on Accessibility ➔ Tap on Physical ➔ Tap on Autoclick (dwell timing) ➔ Choose Short, Medium, Long or Custom.
Short dwell times trigger clicks fast but increase accidental taps while scrolling or reading. Long dwell times reduce misclicks but slow down every interaction.
The Custom option adds a slider for fine-tuning the exact delay in milliseconds, useful once the presets feel either too fast or too slow.
If the phone reacts to clicks you did not intend, increasing the dwell time is usually the fastest fix. If clicks feel delayed, a shorter setting or the Custom slider brings the response back to a comfortable level.
