Add or Remove Emergency Contacts auf Xiaomi
Xiaomi phones store Emergency SOS contacts separately from your regular phonebook. Adding a number to your contacts app does not automatically add it to the SOS list, which is why people often forget someone during initial setup.
To manage the list, open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Passwords & security ➔ Tap on Emergency SOS ➔ Tap on Emergency contacts. From there, tap Tap on Edit to unlock the list for changes.
Inside edit mode you get two options: Tap on Remove or Add. Removing a contact deletes it from the SOS alert list without touching your normal phonebook entry. Adding lets you pick any saved number through Choose a Contact.
After picking a contact, MIUI may show a confirmation step with Choose Send now or Cancel, used to test that the alert message reaches the selected number correctly. Skipping this test still saves the contact, but running it once confirms the number is reachable before an actual emergency.
If a contact is missing from the picker, it usually means the number is not saved in your local phonebook, since Emergency SOS pulls only from device contacts, not cloud-only entries.
