Enable Developer Options auf Xiaomi
Xiaomi hides the Developer options menu by default because it bundles settings meant for app testing, not everyday use. USB debugging, animation speed and forced GPU rendering all live inside this hidden menu, and none of them show up until you unlock it manually.
MIUI treats the build number as a hidden switch. Tapping it repeatedly tells the system you understand these are advanced settings, then reveals the menu permanently until you factory reset the phone.
Menu path to unlock Developer options
Settings ➔ About phone ➔ tap MIUI version seven times ➔ Done
A short message confirms that developer mode is now active, and a new Developer options entry appears further up in Settings, usually under Additional settings. From there you can turn on USB debugging or adjust other developer-only values.
Skip this unlock only if you just need a quick USB file transfer, since that works without developer mode. Turn it on when a PC tool, ADB command, or app testing workflow specifically asks for USB debugging.
