Factory Reset via Settings auf Xiaomi
A factory reset on a Xiaomi phone erases the internal storage completely. This includes your Google Account, all installed apps, system settings, and personal files such as photos and downloads. It does not affect content stored on an external SD card or in cloud backups you set up separately.
Use this option when the phone runs unstable even after a restart, when you plan to sell or give away the device, or when a persistent software glitch keeps returning after smaller fixes. If you only want to remove one app or reset a single setting, a full wipe is unnecessary and you should look for a more targeted fix instead.
Menu path for the reset
Go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on About phone ➔ Tap on Factory reset ➔ Tap on Erase all data to start the process.
Confirm the action once you reach the final screen. The phone will restart on its own and boot into the initial setup screen, the same one you saw when you first switched it on.
Make sure your important files are backed up before confirming, since the process cannot be reversed once it begins. Charge the phone above 50 percent or keep it plugged in, since an interrupted reset can leave the device in an unusable state.
