Xiaomi: Turn Airplane Mode On or Off

Airplane mode on Xiaomi phones disables every wireless radio at once: mobile network, mobile data, WLAN, and Bluetooth. It exists to meet airline rules that ban active radio signals during a flight, but it also works as a quick way to cut all connections when you want to save battery or avoid interruptions.

To turn it on or off, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Connection & sharing ➔ Enable or disable Airplane mode. The toggle switches instantly and shows a small plane icon in the status bar once active.

After enabling Airplane mode, some Xiaomi phones still let you turn WLAN or Bluetooth back on manually from the same screen or from the quick settings panel. That does not restore mobile network or mobile data, so calls and cellular data stay blocked until you disable Airplane mode completely.

If calls or texts still fail after switching Airplane mode off, check your signal strength or restart the phone, since the radio modules sometimes need a moment to reconnect to the network.
