Xiaomi: Turn On or Off Flip to Silence Ringer for Calls

Flip to silence ringer lets you mute an incoming call just by turning your Xiaomi phone face-down. It stops the ringtone, cancels the vibration and switches off the notification light in one motion, without touching a single button.

The feature works independently from Do Not Disturb mode and from the physical volume buttons. It only reacts to the flip gesture and does not reject the call or forward it to voicemail. The caller keeps hearing the ringback tone until you answer, decline manually, or let the call time out.

Turn Flip to Silence Ringer On or Off

Open Phone and tap the Menu icon. Go to Settings, then Calling accounts and open Incoming call settings. Enable or disable Flip to silence ringer depending on what you need.

This setting lives inside the phone app itself, not in the general MIUI system settings, so look for it under the calling-related options first.

If you rely on flipping the phone to quiet calls during meetings, keep it enabled. If you often place the phone face-down on a desk and still want it to ring normally, turn it off to avoid missed calls.
