Focus & Shoot: Turn On or Off auf Xiaomi
Focus & shoot changes how a single tap on the camera preview behaves. With the function active, the first tap sets focus on that spot and a second tap on the same area triggers the shutter, so you never have to reach for the shutter button. This is useful for macro shots or low-light photos where moving your hand to press the shutter can blur the image.
The setting sits inside the camera app itself, not in the general system settings, which is why it is easy to miss. If it feels like the camera fires photos too eagerly while you are still composing a shot, this function is usually the cause and turning it off restores the normal tap-to-focus-only behavior.
Where to find it
Open the path Tap on Camera ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Enable or disable Focus & shoot to switch the function on or off. No restart or extra permission is needed, the change applies to the camera preview immediately.
If you still get unwanted shots after disabling it, check whether a volume-key shutter shortcut or a timer mode is active instead, since those trigger captures independently of this setting.
