Turn Front Camera Mirroring On or Off auf Xiaomi
Xiaomi's camera app mirrors the front camera preview by default, so the image you see while framing a selfie matches your reflection in a mirror. Many phones then save the photo in that same flipped orientation, which explains why text, logos, or asymmetrical rooms look reversed in your final shots.
The setting responsible for this sits inside the camera's own menu, not in the general system settings. To change it, tap Camera, switch to the front lens, open the Menu, tap Settings, then enable or disable Mirror front camera.
Turning mirroring off saves selfies exactly as the lens captures them, matching how other people see your face in person. Turning it on keeps the mirrored version, useful if you prefer the familiar look you see while composing the shot.
This setting only affects new photos and videos taken after you change it. Existing shots in your gallery keep their original orientation. If you edit or crop photos afterward in a separate app, that editor's own flip tool works independently of this camera setting.
