Turn Global Icon Animations On or Off auf Xiaomi
On Xiaomi phones running MIUI, a setting called Global icon animations controls whether third-party app icons play a small motion effect when you tap or open them. This is a system-wide switch, so it applies to every installed app at once, not to a single icon you pick manually.
The effect is purely visual. It does not change how fast an app actually launches, but it can make the home screen feel busier, especially if you have many app icons on one screen. On older or budget devices, disabling it can make the interface feel slightly snappier, since the launcher has less to render on every tap.
To change it, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Home screen ➔ Enable or disable Global icon animations. Toggling this off removes the animation from all third-party app icons; toggling it on brings it back everywhere.
If your real concern is a specific app icon behaving oddly, like a notification badge not clearing or a shortcut not opening correctly, this setting will not fix that. Global icon animations only affects the tap animation itself, not app functionality or notification handling.
There is no permanent downside to turning this off. It is a display preference, and you can switch it back at any time through the same menu.
