Change the Google Backup Account auf Xiaomi
Xiaomi phones link backups to a single Google Account, and that account is normally the one you signed in with when you first set up the device. If you later add a second Google Account, MIUI does not switch the backup destination on its own. Photos, app data, and settings keep syncing to the original account until you change it manually.
This matters if you switched to a new Google Account for daily use but still see old backups piling up under the previous one, or if a restore on a new phone pulls data from the wrong account. The setting lives in the backup and restore section of the system settings, separate from your general Google sign-in.
Where to change the backup account
Go to Settings ➔ About phone ➔ Back up and restore ➔ Backup account, then choose the Google Account you want future backups to use. Only accounts already signed in on the phone appear in the list.
If you do not see the account you need, add it first under the general Google settings, then return to this menu. Existing backups tied to the old account stay where they are; they are not moved or merged into the new one.
