Turn Google Play Protect On or Off auf Xiaomi
Google Play Protect runs in the background on every Xiaomi phone with MIUI. It scans apps before they finish downloading, checks them again during installation, and periodically rescans apps already on your device, including ones installed from outside the Play Store.
When Play Protect flags an app, MIUI shows a warning notification and may block the install until you confirm you want to proceed anyway. This is why a trusted APK or a work app from an unknown source sometimes gets stopped even though it is not actually harmful.
To check or change the setting, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Passwords & security ➔ Tap on Privacy ➔ Tap on Google Play Protect ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Enable or disable Scan apps with Play Protect.
Turning the toggle off stops Google's scanning but does not disable MIUI's own security layer, so your phone is not left completely unprotected. Keep it enabled if you regularly install apps from the Play Store or sideload files from sources you are not fully sure about. Only disable it temporarily for testing an app you trust, then switch it back on afterward.
