Turn HDR On or Off in Camera auf Xiaomi
HDR on Xiaomi phones takes several photos at different exposure levels and merges them into a single image. The goal is to balance bright highlights and dark shadows in one shot, especially in backlit scenes or high-contrast lighting.
Because the camera captures multiple frames before combining them, HDR needs a fraction of a second longer than a normal shot. Moving subjects can appear blurred or ghosted in the final image if the phone is not held steady. In low light, HDR sometimes brightens shadows more than expected, giving photos a flatter or less natural look.
To adjust the setting, open the Camera app: Tap on Camera ➔ Tap on HDR ➔ Enable or disable HDR.
Turn HDR off when photographing fast-moving subjects or when you prefer the camera default exposure without blending multiple frames. Turn it on for landscapes, backlit portraits, or any scene with strong contrast between light and dark areas.
