Hide the Full Screen Indicator (Gesture Bar) auf Xiaomi
When gesture navigation is turned on, MIUI shows a short bar at the bottom edge of the display. It marks the swipe zone used to go home or switch apps, and by default it stays visible over videos, games and other full-screen content.
This line is a visual aid, not a functional requirement. Gesture navigation keeps working with the indicator hidden, since swipe zones remain active regardless of whether the bar is shown.
Where to turn it off
The option sits inside the navigation settings, not in a separate display menu. Go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Home screen ➔ Tap on System navigation and use the Hide full screen indicator toggle to enable or disable it.
Turning this on removes the bar from every screen, including the home screen, apps and full-screen media. Turning it off brings the reference line back, which can help newer users remember where the swipe zone is.
If gesture navigation itself feels unreliable rather than just visually distracting, check the navigation mode first. Switching to button navigation or adjusting swipe sensitivity solves accuracy problems that hiding the indicator does not address.
