Hide or Show Notification Content for Locked Apps auf Xiaomi
App lock on Xiaomi phones restricts who can open a protected app, but it does not automatically hide what that app sends as a notification. Unless you change one setting, a locked chat or banking app can still display the sender name and message text right on the lock screen.
This behavior comes from a separate option inside App lock itself, not from the general notification settings of the app. Xiaomi treats access protection and content visibility as two independent controls, so locking an app does not hide its previews by default.
To manage this, open Settings ➔ Apps ➔ App lock ➔ Settings ➔ Hide notification content. Inside this list, every app currently protected by App lock appears with its own toggle. Enable an app here to replace its notification text with a generic placeholder; disable it to keep showing the full message content.
This setting only affects apps already added to App lock. If an app is not locked, its notifications behave normally and this list will not include it. Turning on the hide option does not silence notifications or delay delivery, it only masks the visible text and sender details on the lock screen and notification shade.
