Turn Keyboard Sounds On or Off auf Xiaomi
The keyboard sound on a Xiaomi phone gives acoustic feedback for every letter you type. It sits inside the keyboard app settings, not in the general system sound menu, which is why muting notifications or switching to silent mode does not always remove it.
To change it, go to Settings ➔ Additional settings ➔ Languages & input ➔ Manage keyboards ➔ Settings ➔ Preferences. There you find the option Sound on keypress.
Tap the toggle to switch the sound on or off. When it is enabled, a volume slider appears underneath, letting you set how loud the click feedback should be independent of your ringtone or media volume.
Turning this off is useful during calls, meetings, or focus sessions where key clicks would be distracting. Turning it on helps when you type without looking at the screen and rely on sound to confirm each keystroke.
If the sound still plays after disabling it here, check whether a third-party keyboard app is installed. Each keyboard app manages its own sound setting separately from the built-in one.
