Xiaomi: Change the Gboard Keyboard Theme

The gray keyboard background on Xiaomi phones is just the default Gboard theme that ships with MIUI. It only changes the visual skin - colors, gradients, images - and has no effect on autocorrection, key layout or typing accuracy.

To open the theme picker, follow this path: Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Additional settings ➔ Tap on Languages & input ➔ Tap on Manage keyboards ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Theme ➔ Choose a Theme ➔ Turn On/Off Key borders and tap Apply.

Each theme shows a preview image, so you can compare gradients, landscapes or solid colors before applying one. The Key borders toggle works independently from the theme: turn it on to outline every key, or off for a flat look.

Switching themes has no effect on performance or battery. If Gboard itself feels slow or autocorrect misbehaves, that sits in a different settings area and is unrelated to the theme picker.
