Change Home Screen Grid Layout auf Xiaomi
The number of app icons per row on a Xiaomi home screen is controlled by a fixed grid setting, not by how many apps you install. A layout like 4x6 shows fewer, larger icons per row, while 5x5 packs more icons into the same space but shrinks them.
This setting sits inside the home screen preferences and applies to every home screen page at once, including folders. Changing it does not delete or move apps, but icons and widgets can shift position once the new grid is applied, since more or fewer slots become available per row.
To change it, go to Settings ➔ Home screen ➔ Home screen layout ➔ then set the layout you want, for example 5x5 instead of 4x6.
A denser grid makes sense if you have many apps and want fewer pages to swipe through. A looser grid keeps icons larger and easier to tap, which helps if your eyesight or screen size makes small icons hard to hit precisely.
If widgets look misplaced or oversized after switching, resize or reposition them manually, since widgets do not always scale automatically to the new grid.
