Manage Notifications for Individual Apps auf Xiaomi
Xiaomi phones handle notifications per app rather than through one global setting. That's why muting one annoying app doesn't affect the rest, and why a fix that worked for one app might not apply to another.
Each app has its own notification profile covering pop-up banners, sound, vibration, and lock screen visibility. If a messaging app still shows previews on the lock screen after you thought you disabled it, you likely changed a different app's settings by mistake.
Where to change it
Go to Settings ➔ Notifications & Control center ➔ App notifications, then pick the app causing the issue. From there you can enable or disable specific notification types for that app only, without touching any other app's behavior.
This approach is useful when one app is too noisy but you still want alerts from everything else. It's less useful if you want to silence notifications temporarily across the whole phone, since that's better handled through a focus or do-not-disturb mode instead of per-app toggles.
