Manage Device Administrator Apps auf Xiaomi
Some apps on Xiaomi phones request device administrator rights right after installation, often disguised as a routine security step. Once granted, that app can enforce screen lock rules, trigger a remote wipe, or block uninstallation until the permission is removed manually.
This shows up most with older security apps, parental-control tools, or leftover work-profile apps that were never removed cleanly through a company device policy. If an app resists the usual long-press and delete gesture, check whether it still holds admin rights first.
Where to switch it off
Open Settings ➔ Privacy protection ➔ Special permissions ➔ Device admin apps. Pick the app from the list, then tap Deactivate this device admin app and confirm with OK.
After deactivation, the app loses its elevated access and can normally be uninstalled like any other app. If admin rights were set up on purpose, for example by a company device manager, deactivating them may disconnect the phone from that management profile, so check with your IT admin before removing anything.
If an app keeps reappearing in this list or reactivates itself right after being turned off, treat it as suspicious rather than as a normal tool and run a security scan afterward.
