Manage the Personal Dictionary auf Xiaomi
The personal dictionary in MIUI stores words the built-in keyboard does not recognize by default, plus optional shortcuts that trigger a suggestion for a full word or short sentence. This matters when autocorrect repeatedly changes a name, technical term, or abbreviation you type often, since the keyboard treats anything outside its wordlist and outside this dictionary as a typo.
You manage entries through the keyboard settings, not the general text settings. Go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Additional settings ➔ Tap on Languages & input ➔ Tap on Manage keyboards ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Dictionary ➔ Tap on Personal dictionary. From there, pick the language the word belongs to, or select Choose a language or tap on All languages to store it for every language.
Tap Tap on Add, type the word or short sentence, and add an optional shortcut so the suggestion bar shows it faster while typing. Confirm with Tap on Backto exit. If a word still gets autocorrected after adding it, check whether autocorrect itself is disabled for that language, since the personal dictionary only adds suggestions, it does not override an active autocorrect rule on its own.
