Set Notification Sounds for Each App Individually auf Xiaomi
MIUI assigns one default notification tone to all apps unless you change it manually. This causes confusion when several apps trigger notifications with the same sound, making it hard to know which app needs attention without checking the screen.
Per-app sound control sits inside the notification management area of MIUI, separate from the general sound settings. Changing it there only affects the selected app and leaves the system default untouched for everything else.
To adjust it, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Notifications & Control center ➔ Tap on App notifications ➔ Choose an app ➔ Enable or disable Allow sound.
Turning off Allow sound mutes that specific app while keeping notification tones active for every other app. This is useful for apps that send frequent low-priority alerts, like social media or news apps, while keeping sound on for messaging or calls.
If you want a custom tone rather than just muting an app, check whether the app itself offers a sound picker inside its own notification settings first. Some apps only expose an on/off toggle through MIUI, while others let you choose a specific tone directly.
