Enable the Number Row on the Keyboard auf Xiaomi
On the MIUI keyboard, digits are not shown by default. You get them only by holding down the corresponding letter key, which slows down anything that involves numbers, such as passwords, PINs or addresses.
The fix sits inside the keyboard app itself, not the general phone settings. MIUI lets you add a fixed number row above the letters so every digit becomes a single tap.
Open Settings ➔ Additional settings ➔ Languages & input ➔ Manage keyboards ➔ Settings ➔ Preferences and enable Number row.
Once turned on, the row stays visible across all apps that use the MIUI keyboard, including chat apps, browsers and forms. Disabling it later removes the row again and brings back the long-press behavior.
If you use a third-party keyboard app instead of the built-in MIUI keyboard, this setting has no effect. In that case, check the number row option inside that keyboard app's own settings.
