Xiaomi: Snooze App Notifications for a Few Hours

When a chat app or delivery tracker keeps buzzing during a meeting, muting it completely isn't always what you want. MIUI lets you pause a single notification for a set time instead of turning it off for good. This keeps the alert coming back later without touching the app's notification settings.

Snooze App Notifications auf Xiaomi

A notification that keeps reappearing every few minutes can break your focus without you wanting to disable it completely. MIUI has a snooze function built directly into the notification shade, separate from the general Do Not Disturb mode.

Follow this path from the notification you want to pause: Swipe down to open the notification shadeSwipe left to access more optionsTap on SnoozeTap on Snoozed for...Set 15 / 30 minutes or 1 / 2 hours.

Only that one notification goes quiet. The app can still send new alerts in the meantime, and the snoozed one returns at the top of the shade once the timer runs out.

Use this when you want a short break from a specific alert, for example a group chat during a meeting. For longer or recurring quiet periods, a scheduled Do Not Disturb rule works better than repeated snoozing.

Frequently asked questions

No. Snooze only pauses that one notification. The app can still send new alerts while the snoozed one waits to reappear.
