Turn On/Off Pop-up on Keypress auf Xiaomi
Popup on keypress is a small visual confirmation from the Xiaomi keyboard app. Every time you tap a key, a brief character preview appears above your finger.
On some phones this feedback is useful for spotting typos on tiny keys. On others it feels distracting, especially when typing fast in chat apps or when the preview overlaps with autocorrect suggestions.
The setting lives inside the keyboard app itself, not in the general display settings, since it is tied to the input method rather than the whole system.
To change it, go to Settings ➔ Additional settings ➔ Languages & input ➔ Manage keyboards, then open Settings for your active keyboard and tap Preferences. There you find the toggle for Popup on keypress and can switch it off or back on.
Turning it off does not affect autocorrect, sound feedback or key vibration. Those are separate options in the same Preferences menu, so you can adjust typing feedback without losing the key preview entirely if you only want to mute the sound or vibration.
If you use a third-party keyboard app instead of the built-in one, this exact menu path will not apply, since each keyboard app manages its own key preview setting.
