Change Press-and-Hold Shutter Button Function auf Xiaomi
By default, MIUI treats a long press on the shutter button as a shortcut for burst shooting. That works well for action sequences, but it slows you down if you actually want continuous autofocus or a locked focus point while composing a shot.
This hold action is a separate setting from the regular tap-to-shoot function, so switching camera modes will not change it. It lives inside the camera app's own settings menu, not in the phone's system settings.
To change it, go to Tap on Camera ➤ Open the Menu ➤ Tap on Settings ➤ Tap on Press & hold Shutter button ➤ Choose Record video, Burst shoot or Focus.
Choosing Focus makes the long press lock exposure and focus on the point you touch, useful for macro shots or backlit scenes where autofocus keeps hunting. Choosing Record video turns the shutter button into a quick-start trigger for clips without switching modes first.
If burst shooting is what you actually need, leave the setting on its default value. Switching it only makes sense if you rarely shoot fast sequences and want more control over focus instead.
