Record a Video with the Camera App auf Xiaomi
The Xiaomi Camera app opens in photo mode by default, so video recording sits one step away on the mode bar above the shutter button.
To switch, tap Camera then Select Video mode, and tap the Shutter to start recording. The same button turns into Pause or Stop once recording is running, which is why it can feel unpredictable if you are used to a fixed shutter icon.
Pausing keeps the current clip open, so you can resume without creating a new file. Stopping saves the video and returns the shutter to its normal record state.
If you only need a short clip, some camera versions also offer a quick-video shortcut directly from photo mode, so check whether that option appears before switching modes manually.
Long recordings use more storage and battery, so close background apps first if the phone already runs low on space.
