Quiet Ringer When Lifted auf Xiaomi
The Quiet ringer when lifted option belongs to the incoming call settings on Xiaomi phones running MIUI. When active, the system uses the motion sensor to detect that you picked up the device and automatically lowers the ringtone volume, so you are not startled by a loud ring right next to your ear.
This function works independently from Do Not Disturb or Focus modes. It only reacts to the lifting motion during an active incoming call, not to notifications or alarms. If the ringtone still plays at full volume after you grab the phone, the toggle is most likely disabled.
To turn the feature on or off, go to Phone ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Settings ➔ Calling accounts ➔ Incoming call settings and enable or disable Quiet ringer when lifted.
Disable this option if you rely on the ringtone volume staying constant for accessibility reasons, or if you often grab the phone briefly without answering. In shared households or noisy environments, keeping it enabled can prevent unnecessary loud rings once you have already reached for the phone.
