Remove a Linked Account auf Xiaomi
MIUI manages every linked service, Google, WhatsApp, Facebook and others, through one shared accounts module. Removing an account there does more than log you out: it clears the local sync token and deletes any data that was only cached on the device, such as chat backups, downloaded documents or photo thumbnails.
Server-side data usually stays untouched, but anything stored locally by that account's app can disappear the moment you confirm removal. This matters most for messaging apps, where chat history may only exist on the phone until it syncs again.
Menu path
Open Settings ➔ Accounts & sync ➔ choose the Account type ➔ pick the specific Account ➔ tap More ➔ tap Remove account ➔ confirm with Remove account.
If your goal is only to stop notifications or pause background sync, removing the account is the wrong tool. Turning off sync for that account, or logging out inside the app itself, keeps local data intact while stopping activity. Reach for account removal when you actually want to disconnect the service and clear its footprint from the phone, for example before selling the device or switching to a different login.
