Rename a Fingerprint auf Xiaomi
Xiaomi phones number every saved fingerprint automatically. There is no prompt to name it during setup, so after a few entries the list under Fingerprint unlock becomes a row of unlabeled numbers.
This naming is only a display label inside MIUI. It does not affect which finger unlocks the phone, how fast the sensor reacts, or the stored biometric data itself.
To rename an entry, go to Settings ➔ Passwords & security ➔ Fingerprint unlock. Confirm your identity with the current Pattern, PIN or Password, then Select a fingerprint from the list.
Type a clear label such as Thumb Right or Index Left, then tap Save. The new name appears immediately in the fingerprint list and on the unlock screen.
Renaming helps most once you manage several fingerprints for shared devices or when different family members use the same phone. If you only saved one fingerprint, the default label rarely causes confusion.
