Rename a Paired Bluetooth Device auf Xiaomi
Xiaomi phones label paired Bluetooth accessories with whatever name the manufacturer hard-coded into the device firmware. Headphones, speakers, or smartwatches from lesser-known brands often show up as a generic model number or a truncated MAC address instead of a readable name.
The rename option sits inside the Bluetooth menu of the system settings, not inside the accessory's own companion app. Changing the label there only changes how MIUI displays the device on your phone; the accessory itself keeps its original name, so other phones or tablets paired to the same gadget still see the default label.
To relabel a connected accessory, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Bluetooth ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Tap on Rename ➔ Enter a Nameand tap OK. The new name appears immediately in the paired devices list.
If an accessory still shows its old name after re-pairing, MIUI may have cached the previous entry. Removing the device from the list and pairing it again usually clears the outdated label before you rename it.
Renaming works for most accessory types listed under paired devices, including headphones, keyboards, and car kits. It has no effect on the actual connection, so audio quality, latency, or pairing stability stay unchanged.
