Rename a Home Screen Folder auf Xiaomi
Xiaomi phones running MIUI let you group apps into folders directly on the home screen, but every new folder starts out with a default or auto-generated name. If you drop several unrelated apps into one folder, that placeholder name stops being useful fast, especially once you build separate folders for shopping, finance, or games.
Renaming a folder does not move or change any of the apps inside it. It only changes the label MIUI shows underneath the folder icon, so the fix is safe and fully reversible.
How to rename a folder
Open the folder you want to rename, then follow this path:
Tap on a Folder ➤ Tap on the current Name ➤ Enter a Name and Confirm
MIUI opens a small text field above the folder grid as soon as you tap the current name. Type the new name and confirm to apply it immediately, no reboot or extra settings step needed.
If your folder still shows no custom name after this, make sure you tapped the name label itself and not empty space next to it, since tapping the background of the folder just closes it again.
