Reset App Settings auf Xiaomi
Xiaomi phones store individual overrides for every app: disabled notifications, background data limits, or a default app assignment set once and never touched again. Over time these overrides can conflict with updates or cause an app to behave unexpectedly, even though nothing was changed manually.
Resetting app settings clears all of these overrides at once, system-wide. Disabled apps become enabled again, notification blocks are lifted, default app choices are removed, and background data restrictions are dropped for every app on the device. Saved app data, logins, and files inside each app stay untouched, so no reinstall or backup is needed.
How to reset app settings on Xiaomi
Open Settings ➔ Apps ➔ Manage apps, tap the Menu icon, then select Reset app preferences. Confirm with Reset apps to apply the change immediately.
Use this reset when a specific app misbehaves after being blocked from background activity, or when the wrong app keeps opening for links, images, or files. If only one app is affected, clearing that app's storage or reinstalling it is usually faster than resetting preferences for the entire device.
