Save Previous Camera Mode auf Xiaomi
When the camera app on your Xiaomi phone always reopens in Photo mode, even though you last used Video or Night mode, the setting responsible is called Save previous mode. It tells MIUI whether to remember the last active shooting mode or reset to the default every time you open the app.
The default state can differ between devices and software builds, so checking the toggle yourself is the only reliable way to know what your phone is currently set to.
Where to find the setting
Follow this path: Tap on Camera ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Enable or disable Save previous mode. Switch it on to keep the last used mode active the next time you open the camera, or switch it off to always start from Photo mode.
Turning the option off makes sense if you want a clean starting point every time, for example when handing the phone to someone else. Turning it on saves time if you frequently switch between Video, Portrait or Pro mode and want the app to pick up where you left off.
