Save Photos and Videos to SD Card Automatically auf Xiaomi
By default, the Xiaomi camera app stores every photo and video on internal storage, even when a microSD card is inserted. This fills up limited phone memory faster and forces you to move files manually later on.
The camera app has a dedicated setting that redirects new captures straight to the SD card. Once enabled, photos and videos land on the card automatically, without any extra confirmation each time you shoot.
To turn it on, open the path: Tap on Camera ➔ Open the Menu ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Enable or disable Save to SD card.
This option only appears when a microSD card is actually inserted and recognized by the system. If the card is missing, damaged, or not formatted correctly, the toggle stays unavailable or has no effect.
Switching the setting off again sends all new captures back to internal storage, while files already saved to the card stay untouched. This is useful if you plan to remove the card or want faster write speeds for burst shots, since some SD cards are slower than internal flash storage.
