Switch to Scientific Calculator Mode auf Xiaomi
The default Calculator app on Xiaomi phones running MIUI looks identical to any other Android calculator at first glance. It only shows basic operations because the scientific functions are tucked away in a second view that is not visible by default.
To reach them, open the app and tap Calculator, then tap on the Switch button. This action changes the layout and reveals additional keys for sine, cosine, tangent, logarithms, square roots and the constant Pi.
This behavior is tied to the Calculator app itself, not to a system-wide setting, so it works the same way regardless of which MIUI version is installed. If the switch button is missing on your screen, the app may need an update from the Xiaomi app store, since older builds sometimes place it in a slightly different spot within the same interface.
Once scientific mode is active, the extra keys stay available until you tap the switch button again to return to the standard layout. No restart or permission change is required, and no data or history is lost when switching between the two views.
