Turn Screenshot Sound On or Off auf Xiaomi
Xiaomi phones play a short shutter-like tone every time you capture a screenshot, confirming that the image landed in your gallery. This tone is controlled by a dedicated switch, separate from the keyboard click sound and separate from the main ringtone or media volume.
You find the control under Settings ➔ Sound & vibration ➔ Additional settings, where a Screenshot sound toggle enables or disables the tone on its own. Turning it off leaves the screenshot function itself untouched - only the audio cue disappears.
This is different from muting the whole phone. If Focus mode or a silent profile is active, the screenshot sound stops automatically along with every other notification tone, and the toggle in Additional settings has no extra effect while silence is already active elsewhere.
Switch the toggle back on if you want confirmation that a capture succeeded, useful when you cannot check the gallery right away. If the phone stays silent even with the toggle enabled, check that media volume is not muted and that Focus mode or Do Not Disturb is not overriding notification sounds in the background.
