Set a Default Home Screen auf Xiaomi
On Xiaomi phones running MIUI, the home button in the navigation bar does not always jump to a fixed screen. Instead, it can return to the last panel you scrolled to, which is confusing if you use several home screens for different app groups.
Setting a default home screen fixes this behavior. Once configured, every tap on the home button takes you straight to that chosen page, no matter where you were browsing before.
This setting lives inside the home screen layout options, not in the general system settings. To change it, use the following path:
Tap and hold a free area on home screen ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Set default screen ➔ Set the default home screen
Pick the panel you want as your anchor point, then confirm. The change applies immediately and does not require a restart.
If you use a third-party launcher instead of the built-in MIUI home screen, this option will not appear, since the setting only controls the native launcher. In that case, check the launcher's own settings for a similar default screen or home page option.
Adding or removing home screen panels later can shift which page holds the default flag, so it is worth checking this setting again after any bigger home screen reorganization.
