Silence Media Automatically in Silent Mode auf Xiaomi
Silent mode on MIUI mutes calls, notifications and system sounds by default. Media playback inside apps such as video players, browsers or games runs on a separate audio stream, so it keeps playing sound unless you switch on the dedicated media toggle.
To fix this, open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Sound & vibration ➔ Enable or disable Silence media in Silent mode. Turning this option on links media audio to Silent mode, so both mute together whenever you flip the switch or use the physical button.
Keep in mind this setting is global. Once active, every app that plays media gets muted while Silent mode is on, including music players and streaming apps you might still want to hear. There is no per-app exception inside this menu.
If you only want to silence one specific app instead of all media, adjust that app's own sound settings or use its in-app mute option instead of this system-wide toggle. If you want calls and notifications muted but media left untouched, simply leave this setting off and rely on Silent mode's default behavior.
