Turn On/Off Contact Suggestions auf Xiaomi
Contact suggestions are a keyboard feature in MIUI on Android. When active, the keyboard checks your saved contacts and offers matching names, phone numbers or email addresses as you type in messaging apps, browsers or any text field.
This is useful for quickly finishing a message to someone in your address book. It becomes a problem when you type in apps unrelated to messaging and personal contact data still pops up as a suggestion, or when you share your device and do not want contact details surfacing during input.
The setting lives inside the keyboard configuration, not in the Contacts app itself. To change it, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Additional settings ➔ Tap on Languages & input ➔ Tap on Manage keyboards ➔ Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Text correction ➔ Enable or disable Suggest Contacts.
Turning the toggle off stops the keyboard from reading your Contacts list for suggestions. Turning it on restores autocomplete hints based on saved contact data.
If autocomplete still feels inaccurate after adjusting this toggle, the issue is more likely general text prediction or dictionary settings rather than Contact suggestions specifically.
