Taking a Photo with the Camera App auf Xiaomi
Xiaomi's camera app defaults to Photo mode, but the shutter button behaves differently depending on which mode and settings are active. Switch to Video, Portrait, or Pro mode, or toggle a color filter and manual focus, and the same tap on the shutter produces a different result than a plain photo.
To take a standard shot, confirm the mode first: Tap on Camera ➔ Select Photo mode ➔ Tap the Shutter to take a photo. This clears up any mode confusion and makes sure the shutter captures a still image instead of starting a video or applying an unwanted effect.
Filters and manual focus stay active across shots until you turn them off, so a photo can look unexpectedly tinted or soft if a previous setting is still applied. Check the filter icon and the focus indicator on the viewfinder before pressing the shutter.
If the shutter feels unresponsive, the app might still be processing the previous shot or applying HDR. Wait a moment before tapping again, or step out of a slower mode like Night or Long Exposure if you only want a quick photo.
