Set Up Text-to-Speech Output auf Xiaomi
Text-to-speech output controls every spoken response on your Xiaomi phone, including TalkBack, Select to Speak and any app that reads text aloud. If the voice sounds too fast, too slow, robotic or speaks the wrong language, this single system engine is responsible, not the individual app.
Open Settings ➔ Additional settings ➔ Accessibility ➔ Vision ➔ Text-to-speech output. From here you can switch the preferred engine, pick a different language, and swipe the sliders to adjust Speech rate and Pitch.
A quick preview plays automatically after each change, so you can hear the result before leaving the menu. If speech still sounds wrong after adjusting rate and pitch, the installed language pack for the TTS engine may be incomplete; reinstalling or updating that language data usually resolves it.
Changing these values only affects synthesized speech output. It has no effect on microphone-based features like voice typing or Google Assistant listening, since those use separate recognition settings.
