Adjust Audio Balance auf Xiaomi
When one side of your headphones plays noticeably louder than the other, the audio balance slider in MIUI accessibility settings is usually the cause. This slider shifts the entire output volume between the left and right channel, independent of the general media volume.
The setting is meant to compensate for hearing differences between your left and right ear. It affects headphones and headsets connected via cable or Bluetooth. It does not change stereo mixing in apps or the general media volume level.
How to open the audio balance setting
Go to Settings ➔ Additional settings ➔ Accessibility ➔ Hearing. In this menu you find the audio balance slider. Swipe it left or right to shift the output more toward one channel, or keep it centered for equal volume on both sides.
Test the result immediately with connected headphones, since the change has no effect on the phone's built-in speaker in most cases. If both channels still sound uneven after centering the slider, check whether one earbud has a hardware or connection issue instead of a software setting.
If you only want to lower the overall volume, use the regular volume controls instead of this slider. The audio balance setting is specifically for correcting left/right differences, not for general loudness.
