Set Touch & Hold Delay auf Xiaomi
Touch and hold actions on Xiaomi phones, such as opening the shortcut menu on a home screen icon, rely on a fixed reaction time before the system recognizes a press as a long-press rather than a tap. If this timing does not match how you hold your finger down, shortcuts can open by accident or fail to trigger at all.
MIUI lets you adjust this reaction time in three stages: Short, Medium, and Long. A shorter delay reacts faster but increases the risk of triggering a long-press action when you only meant to tap. A longer delay reduces accidental triggers but makes long-press actions feel sluggish.
To change it, go to Settings ➔ Additional settings ➔ Accessibility ➔ Physical ➔ Touch & hold delay and choose Short, Medium, or Long.
This setting applies system-wide, so it changes the behavior for app shortcuts, text selection, and any other control that uses a long-press gesture. If you have difficulty holding your phone steady or tend to tap quickly, a longer delay usually feels more reliable.
