Show Notification Content Only After Face Unlock auf Xiaomi
By default, MIUI can show full notification text on the lock screen regardless of whether Face unlock has already confirmed your identity. This is a privacy gap: anyone glancing at your phone sees message previews before the face check even runs. The setting that closes this gap sits inside the Face unlock menu, not in the general notification settings, which is why many users never find it.
Enabling the option ties notification previews to a successful face scan. Until the scan matches, the lock screen only shows that a notification exists, not its content. This is useful on shared desks or in public spaces where the phone screen is visible to others.
Where to change it
Go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Passwords & security ➔ Tap on Face unlock ➔ Enter the current Pattern,PINor Password ➔ Enable or disable Show notification details after verifying face data.
If Face unlock is not set up at all, this toggle stays hidden, since it depends on active face data. In that case, use fingerprint or passcode-based notification hiding instead, found in the general notification privacy settings. Turning the option off again reverts to showing full notification content immediately, without waiting for face verification.
