Turn Off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Scanning for Location auf Xiaomi
Xiaomi phones separate the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radios from the scanning function that supports location accuracy. Even after you switch off Wi-Fi or Bluetooth from quick settings, the radios can briefly wake up to detect nearby networks and devices. Location-based apps use this data to refine GPS results, especially indoors or between tall buildings where satellite signals get weak.
This scanning runs through a separate system setting, independent from the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth toggles themselves. To adjust it, go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Location ➔ Tap on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning ➔ Enable or disable Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth scanning.
Turning both scanning options off stops passive network detection but can reduce location accuracy in apps like maps or ride-sharing services, particularly indoors. Turning them back on restores faster, more precise positioning without forcing you to enable Wi-Fi or Bluetooth for daily use. If battery drain matters more to you than location precision, disabling scanning has a bigger effect than repeatedly toggling Wi-Fi or Bluetooth on and off.
