Manage Activity Controls for Google Services auf Android
Android collects several types of activity data to personalize Google services like Search, Maps, and YouTube. This includes your location history, YouTube search history, and other browsing or app activity tied to your Google account.
The data gets stored under your account and used to tailor recommendations, ads, and search results. If you notice Google Maps timeline entries you did not expect, or YouTube suggesting videos based on searches you thought were private, one of these activity settings is likely active.
How to open Activity controls
Go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Security & privacy ➔ Tap on Privacy ➔ Tap on Activity controls. This screen lists every trackable activity category tied to your account.
From here, Turn on/off the desired Options for each category you want to disable, such as location history or YouTube search history. Changes apply immediately and stop future data collection for that category.
Turning off a control does not delete data already stored. It only stops new activity from being logged going forward. If you also want to remove existing history, you need to clear it separately in your Google account activity settings.
Disabling too many categories can reduce the quality of personalized suggestions in apps like Maps or YouTube. If you rely on those recommendations, consider turning off only the categories that concern you rather than all of them at once.
