Turn On/Off Bold Text auf Android
Bold text is a system-wide accessibility feature. It increases the font weight of menus, notifications, and most stock app labels to make text easier to read at a glance.
The setting lives under accessibility display options rather than the general display menu, which is why many people never find it. It also does not resize text, so it works well alongside larger font sizes if you already use those.
To turn it on or off:
Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Accessibility ➔ Tap on Display size and text ➔ Enable or disable Bold text
The change applies immediately across the system, including the status bar, quick settings, and most menus. Some apps with custom fonts, especially games or heavily branded apps, may not respond to this toggle at all, since they draw their own text instead of using the system font.
If text still looks thin after enabling Bold text, check whether the app in question uses a custom font, or whether a separate font weight setting inside that app overrides the system value.
