Check for Software Updates Manually auf Android
Android checks for firmware updates in the background at regular intervals and shows a notification once one is ready to install. This automatic check depends on your carrier, region, and how the manufacturer schedules its rollout, so devices on the same Android version can receive an update on different dates.
If you do not want to wait for that notification, or if it never arrived, you can trigger the check yourself from the system settings. This confirms whether your device is already on the latest available build or whether an update is pending download.
How to check manually
Open Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on System ➔ Tap on System update ➔ Tap on Check for update. Android then contacts the update server directly and reports back within a few seconds.
If a new build exists, you get the option to download and install it right away. If nothing shows up, your device already runs the current version for your model and region.
When this does not help
A manual check only reports what the manufacturer has released for your specific device and carrier variant. It cannot force an update that has not been rolled out to your region yet, and it will not fix issues caused by insufficient storage or an unstable connection during download.
