Turn Data Saver On or Off auf Android
Data Saver limits how much mobile data apps can use while running in the background. Once switched on, most apps can only exchange data over Wi-Fi and lose automatic background access to mobile data.
This is why chat apps stop preloading images, why notifications sometimes arrive late, and why some content only loads after you tap on it. Even active apps face reduced data access on mobile networks while Data Saver is on.
Where to turn it on or off
Go to Tap on Settings ➔ Tap on Network & internet ➔ Tap on Data Saver ➔ Enable or disable Use Data Saver. Switching the toggle off restores normal background data access; switching it on restricts it again.
Turn Data Saver off when you rely on real-time background data, for example during video calls, live streaming, or large downloads that need to keep running while you use other apps. Leaving it on saves mobile data but can delay email sync, chat notifications, and cloud backups.
